Vehicles in Germany's Town Found Covered with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Law Enforcement State

Officers reported they were notified by a individual who found a car in Hanau marked with reddish fluid

Around fifty cars have been marked with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Automobiles, building surfaces and postal boxes were defaced, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they announced in a official communication.

Police state they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday, when a resident noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored substance.

The substance had been drawn in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Officers then found many other smeared vehicles and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under legislation banning the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.

Officials report initial examinations show the substance was most likely human bodily fluid.

"There is still no lead as to its origin; investigators are not yet informed of any injuries in relation with the incident," they stated.

Municipal representatives stated they were working "to solve the incident" and have appealed to the residents for tips.

An important representative stated the vandalism left him speechless and had to be addressed quickly.

"This incident affects the core of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the far-right terrorist attack five years ago," he stated on a platform, referring to the murder of nine individuals by a shooter aiming at residents of foreign heritage in February 2020.
